I didn't take a straight line to this work. And I think that's part of why the work looks the way it does.

I grew up knowing horses the way some people know their first language, instinctively, completely, without quite being able to explain it.

But life took me elsewhere first. I spent 25 years building and running a successful salon, developing a team, becoming a national corporate educator, and learning what it really means to hold a relationship with care, over the long term.

That chapter shaped me in ways I'm still drawing on. It taught me that clarity, consistency, and genuine attentiveness are the whole foundation in a service relationship.

When I eventually stepped into equestrian work full-time, I brought all of it with me.

My riding and training practice is rooted in classical dressage. This discipline demands you understand the horse's anatomy before you ask anything of it.

I study the horse from the ground up, literally. I trim my own horses' feet, because knowing the hoof means knowing the horse's structure, movement, and long-term soundness in a way you simply can't access from the saddle alone.

My methodology draws on the constant exploration and curiosity of, and deep respect for, the horse and human anatomy. In exploring osteopathic principles, and equine anatomy, Ive come to understand them as integrated systems, not as separate frameworks.

I am a committed continuing education student, both in riding and in the broader science of the horse, because the horse is always teaching and I intend to keep learning.

Alongside the training work, I founded Sincerus Healing a nonprofit organization that uses structured, expert-led time with horses to support healing for youth and adults navigating the justice system and recovery.

Sincerus Healing was created and informed by over 35 years of my own experience in recovery, and it represents something I believe at the core: that horses have a unique capacity to mirror the truth of who we are, to ask for presence and honesty in ways that no human coach can replicate. Sincerus Healing is where that belief meets people who need it most.

EquiClarity grew out of all of this study and lived experience.

Integrating the decades on horseback, the business experience, the healing work, the ongoing study, and the consistent observation that the equestrian world is full of horses and riders who are stuck not because they lack effort, but because they lack clarity.

EquiClarity is built to address these issues through training, evaluation, education, and a transparent sales process that matches horses and riders the way they deserve to be matched: thoughtfully, honestly, and with the horse's wellbeing at the center of every decision.

I am a farm owner, a horse owner, a trainer in the field, a nonprofit founder, an educator, and a lifelong student of this animal. I travel nationally to work with clients and I welcome riders, trainers, and horse professionals who are ready to do the real work.
